Sherry Salari Sander is a wildlife sculptor living in northwestern Montana. Her work represents a lifelong affair with animals and art. Sherry’s wildlife monuments are installed in museums, private collections, sculpture gardens, zoos and public art projects throughout the United States. She works from her studio situated in a 300 acre wildlife preserve that she and her husband have created near Glacier National Park in Montana. She has travelled extensively – to Africa, Alaska, The NorthWest Territories, Asia, Europe and throughout the United States observing animals in their natural habitat, and drawing inspiration from this in the creation of her wildlife monuments.
Sherry was selected by Art of the West Magazine as “ONE OF THE TWELVE LIVING ARTISTS WE FEEL MAKE UP AMERICA’S MOST COMPELLING ARTISTS, AND WHOSE WORK 100 YEARS FROM NOW WILL HAVE WITHSTOOD THE TEST OF TIME, AND CONTINUE TO STAND OUT, JUST AS IT DOES TODAY”.

Sherry’s “Gorilla” (heroic size) was chosen for the prestigious National Sculpture Society’s exhibit “Masterworks of American Sculpture”. She regards the gold medal won from the National Cowboy Hall of Fame as a very high point in her career, being the first woman to win that honor.
